‘By the riverside’ is a painting in soft pastels, mostly Unison and Jackson’s Art, on (some) paper.
It was painted during a class at Chapel Cottage Studio, though the subject was my choice, and the purpose of the painting was to see if I could represent the fur using soft pastels.
The texture of the water in the background was a lucky side effect of the texture of the (some) paper.
